Detailed itinerary for 10 days Uganda safaris

 

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison falls national park.

Upon your arrival, our guide from Elgon Navigators will pick you up from the hotel and then transfer you  to Murchison falls national park  a journey that will take you over 6 hours. While on your way, you will have a stopover at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary and trek the rhinos. You will then proceed with your journey to Murchison falls arriving in the late afternoon. Check in, have dinner and an overnight sleep.

Day 2: Game drive in Murchison falls national park and the Nile boat cruise.

Enjoy your early morning breakfast and get into your safari car to the park for your morning game drive. During this game drive, you will see animals like lions, elephants, leopards, giraffes and so many others. Drive to the lodge for lunch and prepare for an afternoon Nile boat cruise.  You will get to enjoy the Nile as you sail on the waters and then see strong waterfalls.  Enjoy the different animal species such as the crocodiles at the banks, hippos and other animals in the park grazing. From there, you will leave the boat and hike to the top of the falls where you will be picked by your tour guide and transferred to the lodge to have dinner, rest and prepare for the next day.

Day 3: Transfer from Murchison falls national park to Kibale forest.

Enjoy your breakfast, pack up your luggage and then drive to the park where you will have a morning game drive to see the animals that you may not have seen the previous game drive such as the lions. From there, continue with your journey and drive to Get back to Kibale national park.   Along your way, you will get to see different animals and the beautiful green vegetation cover. You will have a stopover at some point to enjoy your lunch. Continue with your journey and head to Kibale national park arriving in the late evening. Check in have dinner and an overnight sleep.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking.

After enjoying your breakfast, drive to the park headquarters where you find your fellow trekkers, join them for a briefing on the rules and the regulations of trekking the chimpanzees.  Enter into the jungle and start the trekking. Once you come across these primates, you are given ample time of over one hour to stay with these Chimpanzees as you are having fun and taking photos. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and then prepare for an evening Bigodi nature walk   where you will gate to enjoy the jungle by spotting very many animal species, bird species and so on, you will also get to interact with these people and get to know their ways of leaving. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Transfer to queen Elizabeth national park, launch cruise.

Enjoy your breakfast and pack up your luggage to transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha region, which is home to tree climbing lions. The Park is home to many different wildlife species, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, and waterbucks. Arrive in the afternoon, eat lunch at the lodge, then go on a late-afternoon game drive to observe the different animal species and bird species. Drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Forest walk and chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura gorge.

Enjoy your morning breakfast and then you will get to the park for your morning forest walk. During this walk, you will get to see a number of animals such as elephants, warthogs, frogs, and reptiles like snakes and various bird species. Get back to the lodge for lunch and then prepare for an afternoon chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura Gorge in Queen Elizabeth National Park.  You will be briefed about the rules and regulations of trekking these chimpanzees and then enter into the jungle to start searching for the chimpanzees. Once you come across them, you are permitted to stay with them for over an hour having fun and taking photos.  Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.

Enjoy your breakfast and then pack up your luggage to embark on your journey to Bwindi impenetrable national forest. You will have a stopover along your way as you travel to enjoy your enroute lunch. Continue with your journey and arrive in the late evening. Check in, have dinner and an overnight sleep

Day 8: Gorilla trekking and transfer to lake Mburo.

Enjoy your breakfast and then drive to the park headquarters where you will find your trekkers, join them to receive a briefing on the rules and the regulations of trekking the gorillas. You will be divided into groups of 8 who will enter into the jungle and start the trekking. Once you come across these primates, you are given ample time of over one hour to stay with these gorillas as you are having fun and taking photos. Drive back to the lodge for lunch and pack up your luggage to transfer to lake Mburo national park arriving in the evening. Check in have dinner and an overnight sleep.

Day 9: Lake Mburo national park.

Enjoy your morning breakfast and then you will be picked up by our  guide who will drive you to the park for your morning  game drive. During this game drive, you will see animals such as the zebras, impalas, warthogs, bushbucks and so many others. Drive to the lodge for lunch and prepare for  an afternoon boat cruise. During this cruise, you will get to see a number of animals such as the elands, warthogs, buffaloes, zebras, waterbucks to mention but a few. You will also get a chance to see different marine animals such as the crocodiles, hippos, topis to mention but a few. Drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 10: Return back to Kampala.

Enjoy your morning breakfast, and park up your luggage. Drive to the park for your morning game drive to see the animals you may not have seen the previous day and then continue with your journey back to Kampala.
