In Rwanda, all nationals are eligible to obtain a visa on arrival without having to apply in advance.

Upon arriving in Rwanda, citizens of nations who are members of the African Union, Commonwealth, and La Francophonie are eligible to receive complimentary 30-day visas.

Upon arrival, a pass/entry visa for a six-month stay in Rwanda is free of charge for nationals of the East African Community Member States.

When arriving in Rwanda, citizens of the following nations are eligible to receive free 90-day visas: Angola, Benin, Central African Republic, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, The Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis, Ghana, Guinea, Indonesia, Haiti, Mauritius, Philippines, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome and Principe, Singapore, and the State of Qatar.

Before leaving, nationals of non-visa exempt countries can apply online or in person at the Rwandan Embassy in their home country. Online applicants can choose to pay online or in person when they arrive. No single associated agent is permitted to submit a visa application on your behalf.

For a single-entry visa, the charge cannot be more than $50; for multiple entries, it can be up to $70.00.
